Abstract

One of the shortcomings of the institutional structure of the banking system is the limited diversification of the loan portfolio. This problem arose at the first stage of the reform, when specialized banks were created. Under the conditions of subsequent reforms, which contributed to the development of a nationwide network of banks, there was a transformation of specialized banks into banks serving one sector of the economy in one region.
